Vincent Kralyevich, President and CEO and founder, 19 years with KPI
An Emmy winning Producer, Vinnie’s footprint in the television industry goes back to the late 1980s where he worked on TV series for burgeoning cable networks such as ESPN and The Disney Channel. In 1989, he helped launch A&E’s Biography series and went on to create more than 50 of the series episodes.
Kralyevich started KPI in 1992 and has since overseen large-scale specials and series from Eastern Europe to Micronesia, and from North Africa to the Arctic Circle. He became a wreck diver for 21 episodes of the TV series Deep Sea Detectives. For the series, he filmed underwater on sunken U-boats and shipwrecks from the Baltic Sea to the Philippine Sea. For a TV pilot called Getting There Alive Kralyevich led a crew from Russian’s closed city of Norilsk, Siberia and KPI had the honor of becoming the first American TV crew to board a Russian nuclear icebreaker. He has also created programming for Animal Planet that inluded working with with lions, jaguars, bears, tigers and sharks. A recent music project Kralyevich created about the unsung female rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Wanda Jackson spearheaded her entry into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, where he appeared with Jackson.
Bill Hunt, Senior VP of Development, 15 years with KPI
Bill is responsible for both sides of the development path — creative and business. His responsibilities include concept creation, client pitching, securing story access, client negotiation, budgeting, overseeing network contracts and business affairs. An industry veteran, Bill also spearheaded KPI’s expansion into international co-productions, branded media and feature length documentaries. In 2006, Bill was awarded a Primetime Emmy as Executive Producer for Rome: Engineering an Empire. Bill has recently secured a series pilot with A&E as well as a series format pilot with HGTV to shift KPI further into the docusoap space. Hunt also continues to secure green lights from KPI’s core clients such as Discovery (Man Bites Shark for Shark Week) and National Geographic’s Naked Science strand. Bill received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Albany State, his MBA in Marketing from Hofstra and his MFA in TV and Film from Brooklyn College.
Kristine Sabat, Senior VP of Production, 19 years with KPI
Kristy has produced and supervised more than 300 hours of television programming, managing the day-to-day creative work of producers, writers, editors and filmmakers as well as acting as liaison with the Company’s clients. In addition, she manages KPI’s production teams, support staff, its human resources and legal departments. In 2006, she was awarded a Primetime Emmy as Executive Producer for Rome: Engineering an Empire. Currently Kristy is Executive Producer on the six-hour The Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero series for Discovery, a co-production between KPI, Discovery, and DreamWorks. Steven Spielberg also serves as Executive Producer. Kristy is also overseeing the production of KPI’s pilots, the Naked Science series for National Geographic, as well as a two hour special for OWN that takes viewers inside Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. Forest Whitaker is Executive Producer. Kristy holds a B.F.A. degree in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
